Actor Ben Affleck Signs Painting
Actor Ben Affleck playing Batman signed my mixed media painting in a private signing in Los Angeles CA. I was very excited to have Ben Affleck or (Bruce Wayne) sign my painting simply because I love the super hero universe and with the latest films, Justice League and Batman v Superman it made it even more exciting. Bruce Wayne enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Justice League is a 2017 American superhero film based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The Batman character is also referred to by such epithets as the Caped Crusader, the Dark Knight, and the World’s Greatest Detective. I have always been inspired by street art and this was the perfect opportunity to merge the two. I’m always using different techniques of painting by starting off with acrylic paints and spraying in spray paint textures. Finally I like to add paint markers and paint splashes and drips.
Mixed Media Techniques
Drip and splatter painting is a style that creates dynamic and unique textures. You don’t need to be Jackson Pollock to do this since anyone can start painting with basic supplies. Get some liquid acrylic paint or watercolors and a canvas. Paint the top of the canvas and watch as the paint begins to drip down. Try customizing your art by spattering and pouring paint with a variety of different brushes. Sometimes I just lay the canvas down and drip paint naturally onto the canvas. Runny paints work best for drip painting. Water changes the consistency of the paint. You’ll need to do this to most paints to help them drip. Liquid acrylics are generally cheap and can be found at general stores and art supply stores.
